About

Following my master’s degree in political science, I spent over three years working in a federal politician’s office. My job was focused on political strategy, public communication, election strategy, and issue management (along with being the front face of the office). In other words, I spent the formative years of my early adult life immersed in politics whether in education or professionally.

Eventually, I left politics and began working for a company that partners with school districts, companies, and other organizations to help them bring people together around common values and perspectives. In other words, I was doing the exact same work, but for the purpose of community, not polarity.

This blog is a collection of the thoughts and ideas that I have been processing over my time in and out of politics. You will probably notice themes out of Greek philosophy, various religious texts (ranging from Buddhism to Christianity to Taoism and everything in between), classic political philosophy, modern scientific and sociological literature, and much more. My aim is to bring together all of the ideas I read and hear in a journey to find what it is that we are missing and how we fix what seems to be a broken system.

Thank you for coming along with me on this journey. It is a journey without a known destination, truly an exploration for the sake of discovery. These posts are raw and unfiltered, and feel free to comment, share, respond, and join in.

After all, this is far more fun as a conversation.
